How to stop feeling depressed today!

Subject: How To Stop Feeling Depressed. * NOT ADVISED BY DOCTORS

I’ve genuinely felt depressed a few times.

Maybe I was depressed to some degree.

But I got over it every time, without help from doctors, therapists or drugs.

There are a few ways that I know how to stop being depressed:

1: Lift weights.

Hear me out.

Your mind cannot experience pain if your body is in pain.

Why do you think people cut themselves?

They want to experience pain in their body instead of their mind.

The gym has the same effect.

When you really push your body to its limits,

Lifting weights hurts.

When you’re muscles are sore and fatigued but you keep lifting anyway.

That hurts.

When you’re lifting heavy things that you’ve never ever lifted before in your life,

You experience new levels of pain that you’ve never felt before.

The good thing about this pain is that it’s actually beneficial pain that not only helps you to feel good,

But it helps you look good too.

Next time you’re feeling super shitty about something.

Go pick up some heavy weights, and put them back down again.

repeat until your body physically can’t take it anymore.

The second way I know how to stop depression today is by doing the very thing that I love the most.

I love to travel.

There have been times I felt shit about my situation, I book the next flight that suits me and I go.

When I’m feeling shit, there is nothing I want more than to be in a hot country, with no connection, swimming in a warm sea.

So whenever I feel crap, I’ll do the exact thing that I know I love.

Travel.

For you, it might be different.

You might really love taking your kid to the park.

Then go do that! Immediately!

You might love cooking.

Then get yourself a recipe that you’ve never cooked before.

Whatever it is that you truly love,

Do that as soon as you can and do it as much as you can.

Another way I know how to stop feeling “depressed”

Is by knowing what your mission is.

Most people are lost these days.

They don’t know who they are.

Who they want to be.

Where they want to go.

How they’re going to get there.

When you have a solid mission,

A goal.

And you have created even just a simple plan on how to get there.

And you’re actually taking the steps towards it making it happen.

You’ll experience great feelings.

And you can’t be depressed when you’re experiencing great feelings.

It just doesn’t work.

Knowing you’re on your way to the life that you know you deserve,

Or you know you’re creating something of value,

or you’re building something that will last forever.

The feeling you get from knowing that you’re “on your way”

And then the feeling of completion when you get there,

Is simply incomparable!

In a nutshell.

Lift weights.

Do what you love.

Have a mission.
